Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Glass Wash Assistant to support the glassware cleaning and sterilization needs of our research teams. You will operate manual and automated washing equipment, ensure high-quality, contaminant-free glassware, and help with routine lab support.

The role requires following written and verbal instructions, documenting daily activities, and maintaining safety and cleanliness across the glass wash facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Dish room or glass wash experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to document daily activities and data tracking.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Adheres to policies and safety rules of the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and custom glassware cleaning and sterilization.
• Assist with lab coat laundering, inventory, and distribution to team members.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated glassware equipment as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dark rooms and monitor fixer/developer supplies.
• Document usage by written records and data entry.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of stock items.
