Job summary

J.G. Finneran Associates, Inc. is seeking a dependable Glass Vial Inspector to join our packing team.

You will pack glass vials into trays on automated conveyors, perform visual quality checks, and report any defects to supervisors. The role requires following SOPs, maintaining a clean work area, and adherence to ISO 9001 procedures. Shift coverage includes the first and second shifts, with possible overtime or weekend work for special programs or deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing packing environment preferred.
• Able to read, understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Pack glass vials into trays and verify vial type and quantities.
• Perform initial visual quality inspections on products.
• Report defects to appropriate personnel and document observations.
• Maintain ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions.
• Follow SOPs and keep the work area clean and orderly.

Job description

Duties And Responsibilities

• Pack glass vials into trays delivered via glass machine conveyor belts, assuring vial type and quantities are correct
• Performs initial visual quality inspections on products
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to appropriate personnel
• Train as a Glass Vial Inspector to provide coverage as needed
• Maintains ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions
• Complies with job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for safe performance of work assignment
• Follows appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Experience in a manufacturing packing environment preferred

Working Conditions

• Wear provided/required Personal Protective Equipment (hair net, safety glasses and gloves or latex finger covers
• Works in Packing Room with other packers
• May be requested to work overtime or weekends for special program events or deadlines

Physical Requirements

• Work inside It may be hot at times
• Frequently is required to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach and use hands to finger

MONDAY - THURSDAY (4 - 10 hour Days)

1st Shift - 5:00am to 1:45pm

2nd Shift - 3:15PM - 1:45AM
