Job summary

EUROPTEC USA LLC is seeking a Tempering Oven Technician for 1st shift in Chicago, IL. You will operate tempering oven, air quench, and water quench to ensure high glass quality and require PPE use.

The role involves maintaining temperatures, documenting rejects, and collaborating with quality and production teams. Overtime and safety compliance are essential for this full-time position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus six months to one year experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work instructions.
• Able to speak some English and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and maintains required temperature in the tempering oven and regulates the glass speed.
• Clears air and water quenches and keeps them free of broken glass.
• Remains at the work area and does not leave unattended.
• Keeps records of all rejects that occur in the tempering oven and air quench.
• Collaborates with Final Inspectors, QA Technician, Spray Booth Technician, and Production Supervisor to resolve line issues.
• Performs general clean-up tasks and replaces minor components on operating equipment.
