Job summary

PacAero in Wenatchee, WA is seeking a Glass Seal Technician I to hermetically seal electronic contacts and feedthroughs with high-temperature glass per customer specs. The role includes measurements and visual inspections to ensure quality and adherence to safety and production standards.

Swing shift Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11pm with a $2/hour differential; as you advance toward Level II, ongoing training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Good computer skills.
• Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
• Able to use a microscope for extended periods.
• Must be able to retain information.
• Must have legible handwriting.

• Requires minimal supervision to perform everyday tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings to determine requirements.
• Understand quality requirements of components and finished product.
• Understand Workmanship Quality Standards of seals per WQS-200.
• Use required tools, equipment, Shop Processes (SP) and SOPs.
• Perform in-process visual inspections under a microscope.
• Assemble, prep, load, and seal RF connectors.
• Understand Oxide, De-oxide, and De-carb processes related to glass-to-metal sealing.
• Detect tooling and equipment failures.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner.
