Guardian Glass is seeking a Production Operator for our Galax, VA location. The role focuses on operating and troubleshooting equipment to support production efficiency and ensure quality glass products meet customer needs.

The position is a first shift with starting pay of $17 per hour. Candidates should have experience in manufacturing or related settings and be able to handle long shifts and physically demanding duties as part of our safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Experience using a computer or tablet.
• Six months or more of machine operator experience.
• One or more years of experience working in a farming, manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot equipment to support production efficiency.
• Drive combination vehicles up to 80,000 lbs gross.
• Maintain hours of duty status per FMCSA regulations via electronic logging device.
• Work up to 14 hours per day and 50-70 hours in an 8-day period.
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Perform driver vehicle inspections per FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Secure loads of glass to the trailer, including climbing ladders and cinching straps.
