Job summary

Guardian Glass in Geneva, NY is seeking Production Operator-Material Handlers to support production efficiency and safety, operating and troubleshooting equipment to produce quality glass.

Shifts include 7am–3pm and rotating 12-hour shifts; starting pay $20–$23 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid at 6 months. Responsibilities include PPE, following JES/SOP, lifting up to 50 lb, operating forklifts, inspecting equipment, and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Must maintain safe work environment by wearing PPE and reporting safety concerns.
• Understands and executes job per the given work instructions or JES.
• Follows 5S procedures and complete general housekeeping duties.
• May lift up to 50 pounds; may lift up to 35 pounds when twisting at waist level on a repetitive basis.
• Operates equipment and mechanized devices, running, maneuvering, or driving forklifts.
• Inspects equipment, materials, and products to identify the cause of errors, problems, or defects.
• Judges quality of product and follows SOPs and JESs.
• Communicate effectively between departments and internal customers.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot equipment during daily manufacturing.
• Prepare final products for shipping and distribution.
• Understand and execute daily run schedules, resolve quality issues, report/escalate issues.
• Associate regularly walks to run quality checks and move between tasks.
