Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate 1 for our Aperture Solutions facility. The role involves assembling windows and doors, reading measurements, and maintaining safe, efficient production flows in a fast-paced plant in Lexington, NC.

You will operate hand tools, follow standard work, and help train teammates while meeting customer demand and quality standards. This full-time position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and fractions/decimals.
• Operate power tools with PPE awareness and safety.
• Identify hazards and follow safety protocols/PPE.
• Understand measurement standards and tolerances.
• Follow Standard Work and instructions.
• Know product defects at workstation and CTQ specs.
• Communicate clearly, listen actively, and share information.
• Manage time and respect cycle times.
• Wear required PPE and stay dependable and detail-oriented.
• Willing to cross-train across departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and assemble, lift, pack products.
• Support employee engagement activities.
• Follow defined cleanup times and maintain safety practices.
• Work at a defined rate per customer demand and standard operations.
• Contribute to improving standard work for quality windows.
• Identify issues and communicate them.
