Job summary

Aerotek Nashville is seeking a Production Associate for an automotive glass plant. You will operate equipment, assemble products, perform quality checks, and package finished goods, supporting multiple departments and production goals.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfort in a fast-paced union environment. Training and cross-training opportunities are available, with full-time potential after a contract period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of work experience in any field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing or general production environment.
• Ability to work on an assembly line and follow a defined manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Operate production and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently in your assigned department.
• Work on an assembly line and complete specific tasks in the manufacturing process to meet production goals.
• Perform visual inspections of glass products to identify defects and ensure quality standards.
• Package glass products securely and prepare them for shipment.
• Use basic hand tools to support production and assembly tasks.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to production targets and schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all plant safety rules and guidelines.
• Participate in cross-training to learn multiple roles across different departments in the plant.
• Handle materials and products safely, including lifting items up to 50 pounds and moving them as needed.
• Stand, bend, and move throughout the entire shift to support continuous production activities.
