Viewrail is seeking a production associate to safely process glass panels through multiple transformation steps and ship products that meet customer expectations.
You will own quality at your station, maintain a clean and safe work area, and operate cutting, edging, tempering, lamination, and finishing equipment. Proactive communication and teamwork are essential to meet deadlines and ensure quality.
Safely and efficiently process glass from incoming raw glass panels through various transformation processes up to and including shipping product that meets both Viewrail and Customer expectations.
Own quality at your station. Don’t pass a problem downstream. If something doesn’t meet standard, stop and resolve it or expedite with a recommendation.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Operate production equipment safely and efficiently - cutting tables, edgers, tempering furnace, lamination equipment, and finishing stations.
Move and handle glass material safely using forklifts, carts, and mechanical aids; load and unload glass to/from equipment, crates, and carts.
Maintain production documentation: update tracking reports, maintain part labels, and support the production traveler system accurately.
Communicate proactively with your manager and teammates about issues, near-misses, and opportunities for improvement. Surface concerns early.
Support cross-department cooperation and be available to assist in other areas of the operation as directed.
Contribute to team results by completing assigned work to the required quality level and within expected timeframes.
Other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, routings, and work orders to produce parts to required tolerances.
Physical capability for frequent standing, bending, and lifting - up to 75 lbs. independently and greater weights with moving aids or team support.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate production equipment precisely.
Able to stand and remain active for 8-10 hours per shift.
Strong work ethic with a consistent attendance record.
Previous glass production experience (cutting, edging, tempering, or lamination).
