Job summary

SPS Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks an Estimator to deliver timely, accurate takeoffs for glass, glazing, curtain wall and metal panels. You will review drawings, gather pricing, and support pre-bid efforts with organized bid packages.

Requirements include a degree in Architectural/Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent experience, strong MS Office and Bluebeam skills, and the ability to read drawings for precise quantities. 100% employee-owned ESOP company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architectural, Engineering / Construction Management and/or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, Windows and Bluebeam.
• Ability to read drawings and quantify building components accurately.

Responsibilities

• Collect bid documents and organize them for each project.
• Review drawings to determine scope and takeoff line items.
• Prepare detailed takeoffs of exterior/interior glass and metal panels.
• Collect material pricing from multiple vendors and store quotes.
• Attend jobsite visits and pre-bid meetings as required.
• Coordinate bid documents and respond to client questions.
