Job summary

Delicato Family Wines in Manteca, CA is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate glass and packaging material deliveries, schedule shipments, and partner with production, procurement and carriers to optimize throughput and minimize costs.

The role requires SAP/ERP experience, strong communication, and the ability to maintain on-time records, handle exceptions, and support inventory control within a safe, efficient logistics operation.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED or equivalent work experience in warehouse/logistics.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP and TMS is preferred.
• Wine industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates all deliveries of glass and materials for bottling operations.
• Daily dispatches to carriers, material suppliers, glass producers and receiving coordinator.
• Works with production planning, bottling operations and procurement to adjust schedules.
• Prepares & maintains on-time performance records using SAP.
• Communicates potential shortfalls or delays due to logistics issues.
• Prepares daily receiving reports from SAP.
• Monitors freight movements to optimize inventory and costs.
• Cross-trains across Logistics and other departments.
• Assists in investigating receiving discrepancies or quality issues.
