Job summary

Under Canvas is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead on-site maintenance, ensuring safety, reliability and guest satisfaction across camping locations. You will supervise the Facilities Team, manage budgets, and partner with the Operations Manager to optimize operations.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, capital planning, staff development, and cross-department collaboration to maintain high standards in an outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years maintenance technician experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Experience with infrastructure systems (plumbing, septic, electrical, generators, landscaping, water/well maintenance).
• Ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets and perform cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, train, and lead the Facilities Team.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance across property infrastructure and equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and camp leadership to meet safety and guest experience goals.
• Manage budget, purchases, and monthly/annual financial targets.
• Respond quickly to on-site issues and communicate clearly with staff and guests.
