Job summary

EDGE Claims LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Auto & GL Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve auto and general liability claims. You will handle multi-party CGL claims of low to moderate exposure, following established protocols to ensure efficient, customer-centric service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Commercial Auto, GL, Property Damage, and Bodily Injury claims, with licensed states and strong negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling Commercial General Liability claims including comprehensive investigation, coverage analysis, liability determination, and claim resolution.
• 3+ years of experience handling Property Damage and Bodily Injury claims.
• Carrier-side claims experience with a strong understanding of insurance.
• Experience collaborating in a team environment and building cross functional working relationships.
• Ability to determine the scope and low to moderate complex claims.
• Understanding the reserving process for indemnity and expense in analyzing exposure of low to moderately complex claims.
• Ability to develop and execute a negotiation strategy for resolution.
• Ability to present information to leadership for claim resolution.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and drive consensus across functions.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with integrity and accountability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate coverage determinations.
• Time management to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail, data and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Investigate Auto & GL Claims - Collect statements, review police reports, photographs, estimates, correspondence, and other evidence; analyze facts and determine liability and claim exposure.
• Manage Claim Files - Maintain complete, accurate, compliant, and organized claim files; document correspondence, reports, discussions, decisions, payments, and other claim activity throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Report and Track Claims - Assist with timely claim reporting and filing; monitor open claims, maintain claim status information, and prepare claim watchlists and recurring claim reviews.
• Evaluate and Resolve Claims - Review coverage, liability, damages, reserves, and settlement considerations; coordinate with carriers, independent adjusters, and defense counsel as appropriate.

Job description

The Commercial Auto & GL Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving automobile and general liability claims. With moderate direction, this position handles multi-party CGL claims of low to moderate exposure and complexity within specific limits of authority by following established protocols to ensure that claims are handled in the most efficient, effective way while delivering a customer-centric claims service.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Investigate Auto & GL Claims - Collect statements, review police reports, photographs, estimates, correspondence, and other available evidence; analyze facts and determine liability and claim exposure.
• Manage Claim Files - Maintain complete, accurate, compliant, and organized claim files; document correspondence, reports, discussions, decisions, payments, and other claim activity throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Report and Track Claims - Assist with timely claim reporting and filing; monitor open claims, maintain claim status information, and prepare claim watchlists and recurring claim reviews.
• Evaluate and Resolve Claims - Review coverage, liability, damages, reserves, and settlement considerations; exercise sound judgment and coordinate with carriers, independent adjusters, and defense counsel as appropriate.

• Demonstrates understanding of the reserving process for indemnity and expense in analyzing the potential exposure of low to moderately complex claims.
• Ability to develop and execute a negotiation strategy and plan for resolution.
• Ability to present information necessary to propose a claim resolution to leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills and highly collaborative with strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner across functions to build consensus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 or more years of Commercial Auto Insurance Claims Handling experience with a focus on General Liability .
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled.
