Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Accounting Manager for the General Ledger team in Seattle to lead a high‑performing group responsible for close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and complex accounting judgments in a fast‑paced, globally integrated environment.

You will partner with Finance, Strategy, Treasury, and other teams to optimize processes, strengthen internal controls, and advance automation and AI‑enabled workflows while upholding US GAAP and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting/finance background with GAAP knowledge.
• Experience designing internal controls (SOX or similar).
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑performing GL team across close processes (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Own journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Provide oversight on complex accounting matters and GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Strategy, Treasury, Legal and other teams to enable initiatives.
• Build scalable, efficient processes with clear ownership and auditing.
