Job summary

Jefferson Wells, a division of ManpowerGroup, is seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Ashburn, VA for a contract role onsite 3 days a week. Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions and inventory costing. Requirements include a Bachelor's, 3+ years accounting, US GAAP, and ERP system experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).

W2 rate ranges from $40–$50 per hour, with weekly pay and consultant support as part of Jefferson Wells benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities.
• Support inventory accounting, including COGS analysis and valuation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for production cost reporting.
• Assist in financial audits with necessary documentation.
