Jefferson Wells is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our client's finance team in Ashburn, VA on a contract basis. You will manage month-end close, post journal entries, and ensure GAAP compliance with a focus on manufacturing and inventory costs.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, and strong analytical skills. It is onsite three days a week to collaborate with operations and support audits and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsabilités

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle intercompany transactions across entities.
• Support inventory accounting, COGS analysis and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing/operations for accurate production cost reporting.
• Assist audits by providing documentation and support.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal controls.
