Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a motivated General Ledger Accountant to join our Novi, MI team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, posting journal entries, and supporting timely month-end and year-end closes in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, payroll postings, intercompany transactions, and assisting with audits and budgeting. Expertise in SAP and advanced Excel is required to ensure precise reporting and process

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, payroll entries, and bank transactions.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, financial reports, and schedules.
• Support audits by providing documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting data gathering and analysis.
• Provide accurate data for financial analysis.
