Job summary

Persona is seeking a General Ledger Accountant / Senior Accountant to scale a NetSuite-based multi-entity function supporting its growing international footprint. You will drive global balance sheet ownership, tax compliance, and month-end close across entities and currencies, ensuring audit-ready reporting.

You will work hands-on in NetSuite, maintain intercompany accounting, and partner with Finance, Tax, Payroll, Legal, and external advisors to improve scalable processes as Persona grows

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting or audit experience, ideally SaaS or usage-based revenue.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 740, and related standards.
• Experience with US federal/state taxes and international tax frameworks VAT/GST.
• Proficient in NetSuite and QuickBooks; comfortable with productivity tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

About the role

The Accounting team serves as the central hub for financial reporting, tax compliance, and balance sheet integrity at Persona. As a General Ledger Accountant / Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in operating and scaling a NetSuite-based, multi-entity accounting function that supports Persona's growing international footprint.

This role will focus on global balance sheet ownership, tax compliance support, and month-end close execution across multiple legal entities and currencies. You will work hands-on in NetSuite to ensure accurate entity-level and consolidated reporting, maintain intercompany accounting, and support timely, audit-ready financial close processes.

While reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements are core to the role, we take personal ownership over building durable processes and controls. You will partner closely with Finance, Tax, Payroll, Legal, and external advisors to improve how we operate as Persona scales globally.

What you'll do at Persona

• Support global tax compliance efforts, including coordination with external tax advisors for income tax, indirect tax (VAT/GST), and statutory filings
• Prepare and maintain tax-related balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, ensuring alignment with tax filings and advisor deliverables
• Own and maintain general ledger accounting in NetSuite across multiple international legal entities
• Partner with Payroll and People Ops to ensure accurate accounting for global payroll, benefits, and employer taxes across jurisdictions
• Manage balance sheet accounts for international subsidiaries, including cash, intercompany, accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll, and tax-related accounts
• Execute and support the monthly close process in NetSuite, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and consolidation
• Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions, including intercompany billing, settlements, eliminations, and funding
• Support multi-currency accounting, including foreign currency remeasurement and translation in accordance with US GAAP

What you'll bring to Persona

• 4+ years of accounting or audit experience, ideally within SaaS or usage-based revenue environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including hands-on experience with ASC 740 and familiarity with broader accounting standards.
• Experience with US federal/state taxes and exposure to international tax frameworks (VAT/GST and foreign corporate taxes).
• Proficient in accounting systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; effective in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
