Job summary

Gentherm Incorporated in Novi, MI, seeks an experienced U.S. GL and A/R Accounting Manager responsible for overseeing division headquarters accounting, directing the Accounts Receivable team, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting under US GAAP.

The role partners with the North America Controller, develops staff, strengthens controls, and drives process improvements across divisional accounting operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including public company exposure.
• 2+ years of people management or demonstrated team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal controls.
• Experience in manufacturing and multinational organization.

Responsibilities

• Own the division headquarters trial balance which includes key balances and activities.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations and prepare balance sheet analytics.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Gentherm accounting policies and SOX internal control requirements.
• Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, cash application, and aging management.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and assist with audit requests.
