Job summary

Ethereum Technologies in Phoenix seeks an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable Kubernetes/GKE environments. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform, and enforce security and observability across clusters.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in DevOps with GCP/GKE, strong Kubernetes knowledge, and scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go. The role emphasizes collaboration with development, SRE, and security teams to drive modernization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or Kubernetes administration.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture: Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, StatefulSets, storage.
• Experience with Docker or OCI containers.
• Proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting; Git-based workflows; scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes/GKE clusters and container workloads.
• Configure GKE clusters, node pools, autoscaling, networking, load balancing, and upgrades.
• Deploy apps using Kubernetes manifests, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, deployments, and releases.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Enforce Kubernetes security best practices: RBAC, Workload Identity, secrets, network policies, image security.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, observability with Google Cloud Operations, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, deployment, performance, and production availability issues.
• Optimize resource utilization, scalability, reliability, and cloud costs.
• Collaborate with development, SRE, security, and platform teams for cloud-native modernization.

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Configure and maintain GKE clusters, including node pools, autoscaling, networking, load balancing, and cluster upgrades.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and Kustomize.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated application builds, testing, deployment, and release management.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Implement Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, Workload Identity, secrets management, network policies, and container image security.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Google Cloud Operations Suite, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, application deployment, performance, and production availability issues.
