Job summary

NALEJ is hiring a GitLab SME (Subject Matter Expert) to lead the configuration, operation, and security of our GitLab DevSecOps platform within DoD-compliant environments.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, secure source control, and automated compliance workflows across multiple development environments, enabling GitOps and secure SCM practices. Remote work with occasional in-office in D.C. and active DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active or Interim DoD Security Clearance.
• IAT Level II Certification (Security+, SSCP, or CCNA Security).
• 3+ years of GitLab administration experience (self-hosted).
• Experience creating advanced GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and other DevSecOps tools.
• Strong Linux and Git experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and secure GitLab (self-hosted) across multiple environments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
• Integrate GitLab with Kubernetes (GitOps), scanners, and secrets management.
• Apply access control and DoD security standards within GitLab projects and groups.
• Monitor system performance and pipeline efficiency.
• Manage GitLab upgrades, backups, and failover strategies.
• Collaborate with developers and DevSecOps to optimize delivery pipelines.
