Job summary

The Themesoft Inc. team is seeking a senior QA Lead for GIS testing in San Francisco. You will guide testing across GIS applications and spatial data platforms, mentor QA engineers, and drive test strategy, plans, and execution.

You will collaborate with GIS developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality geospatial solutions, coordinate test automation initiatives, and monitor quality metrics throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

8-12+ years in software testing.
GIS concepts: spatial data, geodatabases, map services, projections.
Experience with ArcGIS Suite, QGIS, PostGIS, GeoServer.
Expertise in API testing, database testing, and web app testing.
Automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.

Responsibilities

Define and implement the GIS testing strategy.
Lead functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing activities.
Validate GIS applications built on ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, QGIS, or similar tools.
Verify spatial data accuracy, map layers, coordinates, and spatial analysis outputs.
Create test plans, test cases, and test reports; track quality KPIs.
