Job summary

Bridge Core (BCore) seeks a Geospatial Data Scientist & Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing of a cloud geospatial data lake for U.S. government missions in Herndon, VA.

You will design test strategies, execute plans, and coordinate UAT with stakeholders, ensuring data quality and secure API services. The role requires TS/SCI with CI poly, hands-on QA across ingestion, transformation, storage, APIs, and GIS clients, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience planning/executing integration, end-to-end, regression, and UAT testing.
• Proficiency with defect/test management tools and REST API testing.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and back-end verification.
• GIS fundamentals and knowledge of geospatial formats and tools.
• Experience with AWS-hosted apps and multi-environment release pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary test and quality lead for a cloud-based geospatial data lake.
• Develop test strategies, plans, cases, and traceability across layers.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and triage defects; track to resolution.
• Plan and lead UAT events with government customers as end-user advocate.
• Validate geospatial data quality and test REST APIs for correctness and security.
• Maintain data dictionaries, guides, release notes, and end-user training materials.
