Job summary

Sheetz, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Logistics Coordinator to manage, coordinate and schedule movement of freight, optimizing routes and backhauls while controlling costs for distribution centers and SBK.

You will plan deliveries, supervise backhaul scheduling with vendors and drivers, assess third-party transportation, and ensure regulatory compliance. A 4-year degree and 5 years related experience are required; no licenses needed.

Location: Sheetz Distribution Services - Claysburg , PA

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Manage, coordinate and schedule all activities that pertain to the movement of freight, while maintaining the lowest cost possible for both DC & SBK. Integrate backhauls within our transportation realm as well as third party.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

• Develop cost effective routes for deliveries to stores.


• Assess backhauls to ensure proper integration with Sheetz and third party transportation.


• Plan projected deliveries.


• Supervise the scheduling of backhauls with vendors, drivers and receiving.


• Route deliveries using Cadec, Roadnet, TMS2000


• Select carriers for third party transportation needs.
