Job summary

Tactica Solutions, LLC seeks a GIS Technician to manage spatial data and mapping products that support installation asset planning at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

You will ensure GeoBase information is accurate and linked to infrastructure-management systems, develop maps for TNAP, Utilities, and Facilities AMPs, and provide on-demand spatial-analysis for IDP and CPP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of military GIS experience and 5 years GIS experience overall.
• Background investigation for Tier 1 access required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update GeoBase data per SDSFIE standards.
• Create/update GIS maps for TNAP, Utilities, and Facilities AMPs.
• Develop mapping products for linear segmentation, asset inventories, and condition assessments.
• Integrate GIS data with Sustainment Management Systems, BUILDER, PAVER, and NexGen IT.
• Troubleshoot spatial-data transfer issues and perform QA/QC on asset data.
• Provide on-demand mapping and spatial-analysis support for project planning and IDP/CPP.

Job description

Tactica Solutions is searching for a GIS Technician to manage spatial data and mapping products that support installation asset planning. This experienced role ensures GeoBase information is accurate and effectively connected to infrastructure-management systems. Location: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

• Maintain and update GeoBase data in accordance with Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE), including the feature datasets and data layers supporting the planning data model.
• Create, update, and manage GIS maps for Transportation Network and Airfield Pavements (TNAP), Utilities, and Facilities AMPs and their respective Sub-AMPs.
• Develop mapping products for linear segmentation, facility inventories, asset-condition assessments, and other infrastructure-planning requirements.
• Integrate GIS data with Sustainment Management Systems, including BUILDER and PAVER, and with NexGen IT.
• Troubleshoot spatial-data transfer issues and perform quality assurance and quality control on referenced asset data.
• Provide on-demand mapping and spatial-analysis support for project planning, the Installation Development Plan (IDP), the Comprehensive Planning Platform (CPP), and other stakeholder requirements.

Education / Certification

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of military GIS experience.
• At least 5 years of GIS experience.

Clearance

• Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
