NineStar Connect is seeking a GIS Technician to maintain and enhance our Geographic Information System. The role supports electricity, water, and wastewater operations by ensuring accurate mapping data for daily use across teams.

Responsibilities include updating GIS databases, generating reports, and collaborating with multiple departments to keep data current. Strong GIS software experience and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, CS or related field.
• One year GIS experience preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience including GIS certificates may be considered.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate GIS mapping for NineStar's utility systems.
• Update GIS databases from staking, design, construction, CIS, and other systems.
• Assist with GIS reporting and special mapping projects.
• Support preventative maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments to keep GIS data current.
• Build relationships with local, county, state, and federal GIS groups to share data.
• Provide technical support for GIS software and mapping apps.
• Produce maps and geographic reports to support operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
