Baxter & Woodman’s Spatial Technology Group seeks a GIS Technician II in Orlando or West Palm Beach, FL. You will work on diverse municipal projects, supporting GIS tasks, data management, and field operations with ArcGIS tools.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and client service, with opportunities to travel the east coast Florida region and grow technical skills in ArcGIS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Remote Sensing or related field required
• 3+ years related professional experience in municipal government, utilities, or public works is a must
• Professional experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
• Working knowledge of map design and end-user focused layout
• Working knowledge of Public Works and municipal engineering services

Responsibilities

• Report to the GIS Department Manager for work responsibilities, scheduling, and tasks
• Perform office-based mapping tasks, map creation, data manipulation, analysis and technical problem solving
• Create and manage ArcGIS Online Organization accounts and related content
• Perform troubleshooting tasks
• Manage geodata standards, clean up, and maintenance
• Provide onsite work for municipal clients and field-based projects as needed, serving as the primary GIS resource
