Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has a contract opening for a GIS Technician I in Cincinnati, OH. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and is a 3-year contract with extension potential. W2 with no PTO or benefits; ACA-supplemental package available.

Responsibilities include maintaining GIS data for electric distribution, reviewing designs, and ensuring data accuracy with QA/QC processes. Minimum 2 years GIS experience and ESRI/Smallworld familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years GIS experience required.
• Strong background in ESRI products preferred.
• Experience with utility data and asset modeling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the GIS system by posting, updating, and maintaining utility asset data for electric distribution.
• Review design drawings, maps, plats, redlines, and model assets in GIS.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain geospatial data used as the utility system's system of record.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve GIS data issues and discrepancies.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure GIS data accuracy and completeness.
• Correct data quality errors and verify compliance with GIS standards.
• Communicate with Work Order Owners, Designers, Engineers, and Field personnel to obtain missing information.
• Minimum 2 years GIS experience required.

GIS Technician I

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a GIS Technician I with our large power and utilities client in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 3-year contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position - 3 days a week in office.

Pay

$21.00 - $23.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description

Responsibilities: With close supervision:

• Maintain and support the company's GIS system by posting, updating, and maintaining utility asset data for electric distribution.
• Review design drawings, maps, plats, redlines, and related documentation and accurately model those assets in GIS.
• Gather, analyze, and maintain geospatial data used as the utility system's system of record.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve GIS data issues and discrepancies.
• Perform QA/QC activities to ensure GIS data accuracy and completeness.
• Correct data quality errors and verify compliance with GIS business rules and standards.
• Communicate with Work Order Owners, Designers, Engineers, and Field personnel to obtain missing information.
• Minimum 2 years GIS experience required. Strong background and demonstrated experience in ESRI products preferred. Experience in Smallworld preferred. Utility experience preferred. GIS or related technical degree preferred.
