Job summary

Resource Data, Inc. is seeking a GIS Technician to support development and maintenance of geospatial data and mapping products. You will work with GIS professionals, analysts, and project teams to build foundational GIS expertise through data editing, mapping, QA/QC, and research activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
0–2 years of professional experience, internship, or coursework related to GIS.
Familiarity with GIS software and tools used for data editing, mapping, and quality control.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

Use geoprocessing tools to support data management, analysis, and mapping activities.
Integrate high-accuracy GNSS/GPS data collected from field systems into enterprise GIS environments.
Enter and validate GIS data to ensure alignment between field-collected information and GIS records.
Perform GIS editing and QA/QC activities within Utility Network environments.
Create and maintain GIS databases, mapping files, and other geospatial products.
Follow best practices to produce accurate maps, reports, and GIS deliverables.
