Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a GIS Team Lead to supervise a small team of GIS Technicians within Geographic Solutions & Services. The role includes directing daily work, coordinating distribution data, and advancing knowledge in DistGIS, ArcPro, Express Sketch, ArcFM Mobile, and other applications.

You will lead the team, mentor staff, and ensure data quality while collaborating with GSS leadership on goals and procedures. Strong leadership and communication are required.

Qualifications

• Requires GIS experience with utility GIS systems and distribution data
• Experience leading GIS technicians and coordinating data input and maintenance
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to train and mentor staff and manage performance
• Familiar with data manipulation techniques and QA/Q checks

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to GIS Technicians (3–5 reports)
• Coordinate input, processing, and maintenance of Distribution data
• Lead and develop team in DistGIS, ArcPro, Express Sketch, ArcFM Mobile, DistView, DisIntel
• Provide application support and one-on-one/group training
• Ensure postings are current and QA checks are performed
• Collaborate with GSS leadership on goals, processes, and procedures
