Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a GIS Technician II in Atlanta, GA to support Forestry and Right‑of‑Way teams. The role focuses on GIS data management, mapping, ArcGIS Online applications, Python automation, and end‑user support.

The candidate will create and quality‑check GIS data, develop Web Maps and Apps, run Python scripts, and assist data collection and Work Management activities. 2–5 years’ GIS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with GIS coursework.
• 2–5 years of GIS experience using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience developing Web Maps, Web Apps, Field Maps, and Experience Builder.
• 1–2 years of Python scripting or Python Notebooks in a GIS environment.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Teams, SharePoint, Planner).
• Strong GIS data editing, visualization, quality‑control, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities
