Job summary

City of Loveland seeks a GIS Specialist - Water and Power to maintain and support the Water & Power Department's GIS enterprise systems. The role involves data updates, QA, and analysis, with an hourly pay range of $31.23–$43.72 and a November 2, 2026 deadline.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree in GIS or related field, 3+ years with ESRI products, and experience reading construction plans. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in GIS, Civil Engineering Technology, Geography or related field.
• 3 Years working experience with ESRI's product line.
• Preferred: 1 Year editing with utility-focused GIS software.
• Preferred: reading and interpreting construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Creates or updates GIS features for electric, water, wastewater, broadband and other utilities based on drawings/data.
• Collaborates with design staff, engineering and field crews to ensure data accuracy.
• Maintains connectivity and integrity of utility networks.
• Interprets engineering models to identify trouble areas in networks.
• Coordinates data collection projects.
