Job summary
AECOM is seeking a GIS Specialist to translate field information into maps and spatial data for federal facility assessment and hurricane recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii. You will turn inspection findings, photos, and asset records into GIS products to support initial assessment reports and priority planning.
This onsite role requires presence in Kauai, with per diem eligibility when appropriate and a compensation range of USD 65,000 to USD 95,000 annually.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, geospatial science, engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of GIS mapping and spatial data management for infrastructure, facilities, or construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain GIS maps, geodatabases, dashboards, and spatial datasets.
- Integrate field survey data, photographs, inspection findings, and asset records into GIS products.
- Support mobile data collection and ensure data quality for field updates.
- Prepare maps and exhibits for assessment reports, repair plans, and construction coordination.
- Analyze spatial data to identify affected facilities, utility corridors, and repair priorities.
- Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, and field teams to resolve data gaps.
