Job summary

CFS is seeking a GIS Specialist II to join the Central Valley team. This permanent role offers growth and learning opportunities in a leading agricultural company. You will handle GIS data, maps, and reporting while coordinating with farming divisions to meet user needs.

Ideal candidates bring a related degree or certification and experience with ArcGIS desktop/pro, ESRI mobile apps, and Arcgis.com. On-site position with strong growth potential in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in a related field preferred.
• Experience with GIS software and data management is desirable.
• Strong analytical and teamwork abilities are needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain databases with current and historical GIS data (crop, acreage, yields).
• Manage web maps, field trial maps, project maps, and annual reporting.

Overview of GIS Specialist II role:

• Maintain databases filled with new and historical data including crop usage, acreage, varieties, yields, plantings, etc.
• Manage web maps, field trial maps, project maps, and annual reporting
• Perform spatial analysis with a variety of data sources related to farming operations, crop production, water use, and land use
• Ensure data integrity throughout all GIS resources including data collection, data storage and data usage
• Coordinate with farming divisions and other departments to determine user needs
• Integrate data and ensure integrity of all related data
• Perform and manage field data information gathering and audits

Experience Preferred for the GIS Specialist II role:

• Bachelors in related subject or certification preferred
• Any of the following: ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Arcgis.com
• ESRI mobile applications
