Job summary

The Toro Company in Perry, Oklahoma is seeking a GIS Solutions Engineering Intern to create GIS workflows for underground utilities, leveraging Esri ArcGIS components. You will collaborate with the Ditch Witch/Subsite engineering and product management teams to design GIS-based solutions for municipalities, utilities, and engineering firms.

Interns will gain hands-on experience with ArcGIS platform, develop customer workflows, and contribute to documentation and demonstrations while learning

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, GIS or related field.
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Geographic Information Science
• Or a closely related engineering discipline
• GIS major or minor
• Completion of sophomore year or higher
• Experience with Esri technologies through coursework, internships, research or personal projects

Responsibilities

• Develop GIS workflows using ArcGIS to support utility locating and underground infrastructure management.
• Configure and develop solutions using ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Create and enhance applications using ArcGIS tools such as Survey123, Field Maps, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Web AppBuilder, Arcade expressions, Workflow Manager.
• Assist in developing customer workflows for water, gas, electric utilities, telecommunications providers, municipalities, engineering firms, construction contractors.
• Support design and validation of GIS solutions integrating utility locating equipment with Esri ecosystem.
• Participate in customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept projects, and internal testing.
• Work with engineering, product management, marketing, and customers to translate business problems into GIS-based solutions.
• Develop technical documentation, training materials, workflow diagrams, and best practices.
• Research Esri technologies and recommend new capabilities to enhance workflows.
