Job summary
Greenwood County in South Carolina is seeking an experienced GIS Manager to oversee the county's GIS operations, data management, and web mapping applications.
You will lead a team, coordinate across departments, administer ArcGIS environments, develop Python tools, and build dashboards using ArcGIS Online/Portal.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of GIS experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of five years GIS experience including data management and web mapping.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online/Portal required.
- Knowledge of SQL Server and GIS data governance principles.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, and manages GIS operations, services, and projects.
- Establishes GIS data standards, workflows, and procedures.
- Coordinate GIS projects across departments and with external partners.
- Administers enterprise GIS environment including ArcGIS Pro/Server/Online.
- Develops Python scripts and web apps, creates dashboards and maps.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis and produce maps and reports.
- Lead liaison for regional GIS coordination and NG911 data support.
