Job summary

Peabody Energy seeks a Land Analyst in St. Louis to support US Land Records, acquisitions, and sales. You will work with GIS to generate maps and reports, read legal documents, and maintain data integrity across land projects.

The role reports to the Director, Land Management and offers hybrid work options. Ideal candidates have an associate degree in surveying/engineering tech or related field, with ArcGIS, AutoCAD/Carlson SurvCAD, and strong data skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; a related Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience with mapping/surveying software and data conversion.
• 3 years’ experience in mapping/surveying or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and GIS data formats.
• Strong MS Office skills and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Map, draft, and plot related exercises.
• Read and interpret legal documents such as contracts, deeds, property descriptions.
• Operate GIS and mapping systems to generate applicable reports and maps.
• Maintain GIS databases and data layers; digitize new data.
• Support cross-functional teams with mapping needs and training.
