Faith Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Geographic Information Systems Intern to support Real Estate with data gathering, mapping, and visualization. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates seeking hands-on GIS experience in real-world projects.

The position involves 5–10% travel, a Monday–Friday schedule between 7 AM and 5 PM, and collaboration across Real Estate, Facilities, Risk, and Marketing teams. This paid internship provides exposure to GIS software and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field.
• Travel: 5-10%. Work schedule: 7 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday with flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the collection and acquisition of geospatial data from various sources such as satellite imagery, utilities, aerial photographs, and field surveys.
• Organizes, cleans, and maintains databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Conducts spatial analysis using GIS software to analyze geographic patterns, relationships, and trends.
• Creates maps and visualizations using GIS software to communicate spatial information effectively.
• Performs quality assurance checks on GIS data and outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Documents workflows, procedures, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and project reproducibility.
• Collaborates with other team members to support project objectives and deliverables.
• Interns will have an opportunity to support multiple teams within FTI such as Real Estate, Facilities, Risk, and Marketing.

The Geographic Information Systems Intern will support Real Estate in various projects related to data gathering, mapping, and data visualization. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in GIS technology and its applications in real-world projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field.

Travel: 5-10% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the collection and acquisition of geospatial data from various sources such as satellite imagery, utilities, aerial photographs, and field surveys.


• Organizes, cleans, and maintains databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.


• Conducts spatial analysis using GIS software to analyze geographic patterns, relationships, and trends. Performs tasks such as buffering, overlay analysis, and proximity analysis to support project objectives.


• Creates maps and visualizations using GIS software to communicate spatial information effectively. Designs map layouts, symbology, and labeling for clarity and usability.


• Performs quality assurance checks on GIS data and outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identifies and resolves errors or discrepancies as needed.


• Documents workflows, procedures, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and project reproducibility. Prepares technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.


• Collaborates with other team members to support project objectives and deliverables. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and insights.


• Interns will have an opportunity to support a number of different teams within FTI such as; Real Estate, Facilities, Risk, and Marketing


• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
