Job summary

ASRC Federal NetCentric is seeking a Community Planner at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to assist in site planning, development of airfield waivers, and area development plans. The role involves GIS-based siting, lines of sight documentation, and collaboration with airfield managers to ensure compliance with criteria.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Community Planning or Urban Development or two years of related experience, with proficiency in GIS/CAD software, MS Office, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Community Planning or Urban Development, or two years of related Air Force installation civil development planning experience.
• Experience with GIS or CAD software; MS Office and web-based databases
• Must possess a valid State of Florida driver’s license; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Exercise excellent communications skills through interaction and presentation of data to customers and peers.
• Gather geographic and facility use information for siting of civil structures and develop siting projects using GIS (ESRI) software.
• Work with airfield managers to validate requirements for airfield waivers and provide GIS updates.
• Draft future land use through area development plans and obtain comments from government organizations.
• Assist project programmer to develop geographical representations of future building and infrastructure.
• Assist with development of the Basic Information Guide (BIG) for Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
• May support hurricane preparation and recovery activities.
