Definition
Definition : Under general supervision of the GIS Supervisor, performs needs assessment for Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and plans, designs, codes and assists with the development of the Community's GIS. Maintains and provides technical and administrative support for GIS applications. This job class is treated as FLSA exempt.

Minimum Qualifications
Education : A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in GIS, Geography, CIS (computer information systems) or a closely related field of study. Coursework in GIS and computer science is required.
Experience : A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in Computer Technology, GIS or closely related field is required.
Equivalency : Any equivalent combination of education and / or experience that would allow the candidate to satisfactorily perform the duties of this position, will be considered. Underfill Eligibility : An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.
