Job summary

City of El Paso is seeking a skilled GIS/Database Administrator to plan, develop, and manage multiple databases within a distributed GIS environment. You will build GIS web apps using ArcGIS Server, Python, and JavaScript, integrating multimedia and ESRI products into dynamic web interfaces.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in CIS or related field with 2+ years of database programming experience, including Oracle/SQL and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CIS or related field and 2 years of database programming experience.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL databases.
• Experience with GIS software and ESRI GIS products.
• Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, Python, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with web development and GIS web apps.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, supervise and control multiple integrated databases in a distributed GIS environment.
• Create applications related to GIS using ArcGIS server, Python and JavaScript.
• Integrate multimedia into web design and create web services with ESRI products.
• Analyze database requirements and designs for normalization.
• Coordinate database design and operation using SDE.
