Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Bismarck, ND, invites a STUDENT INTERN - IT GIS & COMPLIANCE for summer 2027 (May 17–Aug 20). Located at our Headquarters, this temporary role supports the GCM team with GIS and compliance system rollout.

You will gain hands-on experience through data management, user support, and collaboration with IT professionals, GIS specialists, and compliance officers, while learning best practices and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in IT/CS or related discipline.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Transcript required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Assist in GIS and compliance data collection and management.
• Provide technical support for GIS and compliance software.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders on initiatives.
• Participate in IT projects requiring geospatial analysis or compliance review.
• Assist with system patching and upgrades of GIS/applications.
• Help develop training materials for GIS and compliance.
• Learn and apply GIS/compliance best practices.
