Job summary

American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit Conservation Corps, in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), seeks 4 Members to contribute to GIS and cartography projects at the Midwest Regional Office in Bloomington, MN.

Under mentorship, you will create, manage, and analyze geospatial data using GIS, remote sensing, and cartographic techniques. Responsibilities include converting historical and contemporary spatial records to digital geodatabases, scanning and georeferencing

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS or related field preferred.
Experience with ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro is required.
Strong data management and cartography capabilities.

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and analyze geospatial data using GIS, remote sensing and cartographic techniques.
Produce digital and hardcopy maps for technical and field use.
Maintain geospatial databases and ensure data quality.
Collaborate with staff and partners to meet spatial data needs.
Communicate GIS concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
