Job summary

Audubon Field Solutions in Houston, TX seeks a GIS Analyst to perform geospatial analysis and data management for survey and ROW activities. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining pipeline data in ArcGIS, publishing content for ArcGIS Online, and building dashboards.

You will work with ESRI tools, manage databases, and support field technicians while ensuring HSSE compliance and data quality. A degree in Geosciences is preferred but experience is welcome.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences; experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and related ESRI apps (AGOL/Portal/Field Maps/Survey123).
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server), PODS and UPDM.
  • Experience with Python and Arcade Expressions.
  • Experience with LiDAR and photogrammetry data processing.
  • Geodatabase design in ArcSDE.

Responsibilities

Job description

Audubon Field Solutions is currently seeking a GIS Analyst to join our Team in our Houston, TX office. The GIS Analyst will perform analysis and data management tasks in association with survey and ROW activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Create, update, and maintain pipeline geospatial data in ArcGIS software applications and databases.
  • Publishing/Editing Content for ArcGIS Online and Enterprise Portal.
  • Web Map/App Creation and Maintenance.
  • Developing Smart Forms within Field Maps for data collection and compliance.
  • Create Dashboard in ArcGIS Online and Portal.
  • Create or update ad hoc maps and drawings.
  • Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing and data interpretation.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and engineers on GIS-related updates from pipeline construction projects.
  • Provide GIS software and GPS hardware support for field technicians.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to resolve discrepancies, improve data quality and provide solutions to problems or issues via GIS.
  • Develop process documentation and provide training to stakeholders.
  • Comply with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.
  • Actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents to your supervisor.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geosciences (Geography, GIS). Experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro software including ESRI Apps like Field Maps/Survey 123/ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/ESRI Portal and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Required.
  • Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server), the Pipeline Open Database Standard (PODS), Utility Pipeline Data Model (UPDM), Python and Arcade Expression Language.
  • Experience with processing LiDAR and Photogrammetry Data-sets.
  • Experience with Geodatabase design and schema in ArcSDE.
