Position Overview

The Girls Wrestling Head Coach promotes an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Head Coach provides leadership and supervision for the team and individual sports, working closely with staff and administration of Grand Island Public Schools.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and supervise the Girls Wrestling program and team.
2. Promote teamwork and sportsmanship.
3. Design training programs, practices, and game plans.
4. Organize and supervise athletes to ensure proper program implementation.
5. Ensure all athletic activities conform to GIPS standards and policies.
6. Communicate effectively with school district members and the community.
7. Supervise assistant coaches and define their roles, including summer workouts, camps, and in-season responsibilities.
