Job Description

The Head Coach promotes an appreciation of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Head Coach provides leadership and supervision for the girls wrestling team and works closely with other staff and administration of the Grand Island Public Schools.

1. Coordinates and supervises the girls wrestling program and team.
2. Promotes an appreciation of teamwork and sportsmanship.
3. Designs training programs, practices, and game plans.
4. Organizes and supervises athletes to ensure proper program implementation.
5. Ensures all athletic activities conform to GIPS standards and policies.
6. Communicates effectively with school district members and the community.
7. Supervises assistant coaches and defines their roles within the team structure (summer workouts, camps, in-season responsibilities, etc.).
