Job summary

Moffat County High School in Craig, CO is seeking an Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach to support the wrestling program and work with student athletes across levels. The role provides leadership under the Head Wrestling Coach and helps in running the program during the season.

Responsibilities include coordinating practices, organizing off-season programs, teaching wrestling techniques, tracking eligibility, and ensuring compliance with district and CHSAA rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous wrestling coach experience and/or knowledge of the fundamental and advanced skills of wrestling.
• CPR/First Aid Certified.
• Be willing to be part of a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of all wrestling levels.
• Summer and/or off season programs.
• Teaching fundamental and advanced skills of wrestling.
• Assist with development of expectations and positive direction of the wrestling program.
• Tracking of eligibility and academic progress of students.
• Preparation of wrestlers for competition.
• Must attend all meetings required and keep communication with parents, players, staff, media in good standing.
• Responsible for equipment upkeep, distribution, collection and inventory.
• Follow school district and CHSAA regulations and policies.
• Represent the school and district at interscholastic activities.
• Follow district policies and handbooks including FERPA guidelines.
