Job summary

Moffat County High School is seeking an Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach to support the wrestling program and help develop athletes for competition. The candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented.

The role reports to the Head Wrestling Coach and involves coordinating wrestling levels, running summer/off-season programs, teaching skills, and ensuring proper use of equipment and facilities. Prior coaching experience and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a wrestling coach and knowledge of fundamental and advanced wrestling skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of all wrestling levels.
• Lead summer and/or off-season programs.
• Teach wrestling fundamentals and advanced skills.
• Help develop expectations and direction for the wrestling program.
• Track student eligibility and academic progress.
• Prepare wrestlers for competition.
• Attend meetings and communicate with parents, players, staff, and media.
• Maintain equipment inventory and facility use guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with school district and CHSAA policies.
• Represent the school and district at practices, meetings, and events.
• Follow district handbooks, policies, and FERPA guidelines.
