Qualifications

• Coaching experience or participation in the sport on high school or college levels.
• Must have CPR and First Aid training or be enrolled in a course.
• Prefer experience as a teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Preference for candidates with a Virginia Teaching License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist in hiring and retention of assistant coaches.
• Direct and supervise assistant coaches.
• Ensure proper insurance coverage for athletes.
• Foster appreciation for athletics among participants.
• Lead the training and conditioning of the varsity team.
• Be present at varsity contests and oversee junior varsity contests.
• Advise the athletic director on schedules and athlete evaluations.
• Ensure athletes pass medical examinations before practices.
• Organize student recruitment for the team.

Skills

Coaching experience
