Milton Hershey School is seeking a Girls Soccer Varsity Head Coach for a one-year ancillary position at the high school. The coach will help develop athletic and character growth, with practice from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

on weekdays and occasional weekends. Stipend based on experience and season commitment. The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred) and at least 3 years of coaching or playing experience, with college-level experience considered a plus.

MHS is currently seeking a Girls Soccer Varsity Head Coach for a one-year ancillary position at the High School. The Coach is responsible for assisting the program year-round to develop students athletically and competitively, as well as instilling character so they excel in their sport and in life. The season runs from August through October. Practice hours are generally from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some weekend practices and games. Off-season work is flexible and necessary for this position. Stipend amount is based on experience & working the entire season. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with overseeing all aspects of the sports program.

Ensuring the program is competitive and character-building.

Recruiting students to participate and collaborate with the Elementary and Middle school levels to develop talent pipelines.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least 3 years of successful coaching or playing experience. Experience competing at the college level a plus.

Demonstrated success in establishing a highly competitive program, while also instilling high-quality character.

Must have current knowledge of techniques, rules and regulations, and training theory of the sport.

Demonstrated ability to lead & inspire diverse youth. Experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds is preferred.

Demonstrated exceptional organizational and planning skills.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and lead a team of coaches.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate & influence in cross-functional settings.

Ability to build a network to facilitate new and creative opportunities.

Candidates should be eager to assist in building the program & invest in student talent development year-round.

Candidates should demonstrate high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
